COOKING UP A MESS
Giclee (pastel)

Is this man preparing food for a wagon train
of mule teamsters and soldiers moving through the heart of
the Confederacy or for a noontime restaurant filled with working
suits and social lunchers? His existence, though anonymous,
is real, tied and intertwined with other people, bound with
the chore of doing the best with what he has, and living with
the choice to do or not to do that very thing. He seems timeless.
