BLUE CHIPPER
Giclee (pastel)
2004
8" X 11"
edition 400
This young man agreed to pose for the money,
but after understanding the significance of the subject matter,
an aura of living history came over him. In todays society
he is what one calls a blue chipper, an elite athlete desired
by many of the major universities in the country. I found
myself conflicted and intrigued by the thought of what this
young black man would have known in 1860.
