PRETTIEST OF THE PRETTY
Print (pencil)
2001
22" X 28"
edition 260

There is art in all of life; the effortless interaction of plants, the play of afternoon shadows across a blank wall, or the beauty of a natural home run swing. And yes, even in the laying of brick. Donald Campbell and his son, Little Donald, spent four months laying blue stone and building this brick wall. When asked about the slow progress of the project, the father mason responded, “Doc, I be a brick artist and I reckon this might be the prettiest of the pretty I ever done.”
